Casablanca has one greyhound track. John Mottern and Anna Clements visited this track in April, 2007. Their sense was that the greyhounds are cared for and not raced beyond their abilities.
Unfortunately, it is hard to find enough homes for the dogs grading off. And it is difficult to import them to Europe because they are on a different continent—.Africa. The track owner was open to having dogs come to the U.S. - or Canada - to find homes.
Given the deluge of dogs from U.S. tracks, helping the Casablanca dogs has not yet been a possibility.
